Join us in building a slavery-free world
According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, there are an estimated 27 million people suffering from modern slavery around the world. Modern slavery is about the exploitation and subjugation of other people, such as child slavery, forced labor, human trafficking, and labor exploitation. A common characteristic of modern slavery and the various forms it takes is that it involves the deprivation of someone's freedom by another. In the context of business, an employee is no longer working willingly for the employer, but is rather 'forced' to do so. Essentially, people suffering from modern slavery are in a way or another 'owned' by their employers. Victims face verbal or physical abuse, and many times it so happens that they are tormented by both. Although all forms of modern slavery are internationally illegal, it is unfortunately still existing in many countries around the word. In light of the aforementioned, INGOT Coin, as a subsidiary of INGOT Brokers Australia, takes pride in serving the noble cause of fighting all forms of modern slavery.
An important element in our overall approach to business and human rights is INGOT Broker's unacceptability of modern slavery within our business and supply chains. INGOT Brokers is committed to respecting, protecting and defending the human rights of all those who come into contact with our operations, including employees, stock and non-stock supply chain workers, customers and local communities.
This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act. It sets out the steps taken by INGOT Brokers to prevent modern slavery in operations and supply chains.
INGOT'S main operational policies are about respecting, protecting and improving the human rights of all those who work and deal with INGOT. As our CEO Iman Mutlaq said "We should raise our voices to help those who can't raise their voice. We stand with humanity".
Building awareness is the keystone for anti-trafficking. We are the first company to raise awareness about modern slavery in Jordan. Therefore, INGOT Brokers will help spread awareness by giving training to our employees, partners, etc. start that by giving training our employees, partners, and even customers. We will also share related content on our social media platforms, in addition to initiating educational activities to inform specific audiences about the existence of modern slavery. In doing so, this type of work shall increase the number of people who will be willing to allocate time, donate resources and change habits to help fighting modern- slavery.
